Blogging rules – please read

February 14th, 2013 by rdickens

We are all really excited to have our nursery blog and to be able to share the news and learning that take place. Keeping the blog a safe and secure place to work is very important. Through the use of the blog we all have the opportunity to develop our understanding of online safety and how to behave when on the web.

We have a few simple guidelines that we need to keep to in order to make the most of our nursery blog:

  1. In posts we will avoid using children’s names particularly in text that accompanies photographs of children so children are not identifiable.
  2. All posts will be written in a positive and sensitive way.
  3. Posts are routinely monitored by the Head.
  4. Children are to only use their first name when commenting.
  5. Parents who leave comments are asked to use their first name only so as not to identify their child. Or post comments as “Tim’s Mum” or “Megan’s Grandfather”.
  6. All comments are moderated by the class teacher before they appear on the blog.
  7. Don’t post personal information – such as your home phone number, mobile phone number, email address or home address

Important – Henry Bradley Nursery & Infant School has sole ownership of all photographs published on this blog. No photographs can be used without permission and should not be reproduced on any social or networking media. Thank you.

If you have any more concerns about the security of the blog then please pop into nursery and have a chat with a member of the nursery team who will be happy to help.
